MISTY PUPS! (OLD REF)

BASIC ANATOMY and INFORMATION:

Misty pups are small canine-like creatures, they are about the size of a small-medium dog and its head will come up to a little higher than the knee of a grown man.
Misty pups have strong legs and are very agile and light on their feet, they are very fast runners and fairly good jumpers as well. Although Misty pups are very good athletes they cannot swim, the mist in their body makes them sink instead of float so they are unable to swim as they will drown.

Misty pups have no ears. It is an extremely rare mutation if they are born with ears, sometimes they can inherit ears if a misty pup breeds with a common dog, although the successful breeding rate of a misty pup and common dog are very low and therefore unlikely to happen.
Misty pups have amazing vision and see very well both at day and night, unlike normal canines misty pups can identify the same colours as humans and therefore can see everything the same as a human would. They have evolved this ability so they can identify misty pups by the colour of their mist.

Misty pups commonly have either no tail or a short fluffy tail, medium fluffy tails are uncommon and long or smooth tails are rare, to misty pups tails are not essential, they are pretty much just there for show. It is more likely for a domesticated misty pup to have medium/long tails than it is a wild misty pup to.

Misty pups are Omnivores and have a set of sharp teeth, misty pups usually are mostly carnivores and will eat meat for over 50% of their diet. But occasionally there will be misty pups who choose to be vegetarians or just eat less meat than others, being omnivores they're able to find food when the availability of meat is low.

Misty pups are partially immortal as they do not die of old age, they do not get sick and are able to go without food and water for a long time. They can however die of other causes such as being run over, cut in half, shot etc.
If a misty pup does die however, the mist concealed within its body will leak out and kill everything within a 100m radius of the body. Because of this misty pups refrain from killing each other even if they hate the others' guts.

MIST:

Misty pups' Mist is Most of the time Odourless and completely harmless, when a misty pup is excited or very happy sometimes the mist will smell lovely (like a fresh bakery, flowers etc.), although when a misty pup is upset or aggravated their mist becomes extremely toxic and smells horrible.
Misty pups can control their mist most of the time and can actually "put it away" for intervals of time if needed, although they cannot hold their mist in for more than 20 minutes at a time or they start to feel drowsy and can pass out and sometimes die.
Misty pups can also make their mist, and eyes glow in the dark to help navigate through the dark.
Misty pups are IMMUNE to their own and other misty pups mist, so if a misty pup is upset the mist will not harm/effect the upset misty pup nor any other misty pups.

Mist is usually 1 colour but can occasionally be 2 or 3 colours (more than that is extremely rare/illegal) 1 colour is very common, 2 is uncommon and 3 colours is rare. The mist colour/s is always the same colour as the misty pups eyes, paws, tongue and usually the nose as well (but sometimes the nose can be a different colour).

When a Misty pup is upset/aggravated, you can tell because mist leaks from the eyes and it looks as if the misty pup is crying. This is a warning sign to not approach the misty pup as its mist will be toxic and there is a possibility (if aggravated) that the pup will attack you.
When a misty pup is extremely aggravated it will go into what is known as a demon form, in their demon form their fur spikes up and stands on end, they become crazy and their mist will cover their entire body. This mist will be extremely toxic, if you touch this mist it will burn you and if you inhale it you will feel your insides burning and then you will die. NEVER, no matter what go near a misty pup when in its demon form as they will most likely attack you.

BREEDING:

Misty pups will MATE FOR LIFE! , if two misty pups fall in love they will be together for life (yes this includes gay couples) although gay couples cannot have puppies.
A female misty pup will only ever produce one litter of puppies and she and her mate will do anything to protect their young. A litter will usually have only 1 - 3 puppies.

Puppies are born blind like normal dogs and will open their eyes within 3 days or so after being born, they are born with their mist and it usually smells very sweet when first born. Puppy misties are VERY DANGEROUS! This is because they are very unstable and can get upset easily, puppies will have tantrums they will usually have the same effect as becoming a demon misty pup, their whole body is covered in there mist and it becomes very toxic. If a misty pup is removed from its parent (if you somehow get it away from its mother) it will have a tantrum to defend itself.

In the future there will be a special breeding event, but this wont be for a while

OTHER:

I have been working on ideas for a Roleplay group for misty pups, it is still in W.I.P and wont be finished for a while but I will share some of my ideas here for now:

Misty pups have their own world (still thinking of name), they use their mist to open a magic portal to go between their and the human worlds.
Each misty pup belongs in a different "class" and has different abilities, so far these include:

Commoners- no magical abilities or special traits, all rounder misty pups
Nurses- mist has healing abilities, very kind and gentle misty pups, always love to make others feel better, very rarely get upset, mist smells sweet when happy, care for and raise puppies
Warriors- Can control their demon form and use it to defend against Shodows, brave and stubborn misty pups, protectors
Rogues- Very agile and stealthy, great at camouflaging, usually travel alone, shy and quiet misty pups
Royals- RARE, usually have a very rare trait (most common among royals is 2 kinds of mist), mist can manipulate the thoughts of others and can control others at will, royals are always kind and only use their powers to protect their subjects as a last resort.
Dark ones- RARE, Misty pups that have been consumed by darkness, live amongst and control shodows to attack other misty pups, do not care for others, usually travel alone

Shodows- shodows are evil shadow creatures that roam around in the misty pups' world, they can only come out at night or lurk in shadows during the day
shodows are harmed by the mist of misty pups, especially demon form mist, but if a shodow can sneak up on and get close enough to a misty pup they will control the misty pup and will turn them in to dark ones.
