Description

updated from the old one here: - Popaka Species Ref Sheet - by Ponacho

some things have been edited but most is the same

Popakas each can only grow their fur/wool in their own unique spots along their head/back/tail
this fur will shed every few months and grow back within a couple of weeks
they can also shave their fur before it is time to shed, leaving a bristly patch where it was shaved
this bristly patch will not grow fur back until the rest of their fur has shed and started growing back
they use this to style their fur
if there are any spots on their body where there is no fur/bristly patch, that means they cant grow fur/wool there

popakas always have their 1 buck tooth, behind it is a fleshy pad which they grind their food on
their bottom teeth are normal and for grinding

popakas are herbivores, they graze on pastures and occasionally eat fruits/veg etc.

their strange ears dont really have a purpose i just like them so theyre there ahaha XD
they also have a heart shaped nose <3

Popakas will trade their fur/wool for other things from other species
most popakas love adventuring and exploring, most live in mountainous areas or in large fields/pastures.

Popakas are intelligent species and have their own societies although also live among other species such as humans and serve as companions and such for them as well
back long ago there was a time when popakas were hunted, captured and bred for their fur, becuase of this there became domesticated breeds which can have different ears and used to be bred to have more shedable fur
since then there has been a truce between popakas as other species such as humans since they are intelligent species
popakas are not allowed to be kept or shaved against their will anymore
the domestic breeds are all mostly hybrids between wild and domesticated now as well but are still considered domesticated, domesticated are now less common

popakas can come in any colours and patterns
popakas fur also comes in a range of colours and patterns, and can make some pretty colourful and cool fabric once woven

a toy/mini breed was also made during the time of them being domesticated and were desired as pets
they are rare to find these days but still exist

Popakas are a closed species to myself ;v;
